Challenge: One of the selling points of the iPad is that it isn't a laptop, so when we were approached to design a portable keyboard for the iPad we felt stumped at first. How can we make it easier to input text on the iPad without turning it into a classic laptop configuration?

Solution: These days people can type just as fast with their thumbs as they can with a full keyboard. It just so happens that the frame around the iPad screen is the exact same dimension as half of a blackberry keyboard.  The Bluetooth Split design clips to the edge of a tablet, allowing the user to hold the iPad as they usually would, but activates the unused frame around the screen as typing interface.
